A Trail of Blood and Destruction

Living in London for 45 years I have witnessed many changes in governments and policies. The one constant has been their disdain and disregard for Arabs and Muslims.

The other constant in western government and agenda is the total devotion to the survival and advancement of Israel irrespective of the huge cost in human sacrifice, squandering of resources, land loss and the shedding of Arab Muslim blood.

The latest manifestation of this disdain and disregard is what is going on in Syria. They tell the world that they are impartial, honest and moral peacemakers while the truth is that these people are the architects of our destruction.

Such a of hypocrisy and double dealing is going on now in Doha, Qatar where the Foreign Ministers of the so-called Friends of Syria are gathering to decide what kind of further mayhem they can inflict on the Syrian people.
As if they haven’t done enough so far.

This is not a new policy of the western powers. This has been meticulously planned, organised and vigorously pursued for the best part of a century.

I have been reading an extraordinary book called “Why Are We The Good Guys?”, by writer and investigative journalist, David Cromwell. The tag line on the jacket reads. ‘Reclaiming Your Mind From The Delusions Of Propaganda’.

The ‘Good Guys’ that Mr. David Cromwell has in mind are the western powers and western media. What he has to say is, if not frightening, certainly an eye-opener and very informative. As Malcolm X once said, “If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing”.

When you know who has owned and run the media for the last century and for whose benefit, and when you know who are the oppressed and who are the oppressors you will see how prophetic these words were.

It made me reflect, yet again, on what horrors the western powers have inflicted on us and what they still have in store.

All my life I have been a proponent and advocate of Pan-Arabism. I have been calling for the Arab nation to break the shackles of tribalism, feudalism and sectarianism and to unite under one flag. We must protect our land and our national resources from parasites and predators and above all, we must give our people the standard of living and dignity they deserve.

Alas, the truth is our Arab and Muslim leaders have all partaken from the poisoned chalice that was the Sykes/ Picot agreement, shattering any possible hope of unity amongst the Arab nations. To ensure Arab fragmentation and disunity, the western powers created tribes with flags, seducing them with a false sense of security and prominence by giving them names, status and imaginary borders and installing Israel into the heart of the Arab world, which is Palestine. Israel is the only country without defined borders. There is no limit to their ambition and avarice. Their mission is to Eretz Y’Israel, Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates and believe me; they are doing all in their power and more to make it ‘mission accomplished.’

Please look at what has happened for the last 70 or 80 years in these various so-called Arab states that the west has created to service the west’s interests. Look at the bloodshed and devastation in Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen and the calamity that is Syria and ask yourself why and for whose benefit this has been perpetrated. Certainly, it is not for the benefit of the indigenous Arab population. The ultimate winners are always the western powers and Israel.

How on earth could an Arab nation like Libya believe that an Algerian born French Jew like Zionist Professor Henri Bernard-Levy could be relied upon to advance their cause? As a close friend and associate of both Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel and Mr. Shimon Perez, President of Israel surely his main concern would be to advance the cause of Israel. How could he be trusted with the revolution in Libya? Yet, not only did the Libyans trust the professor, they were lead by the nose by him to sit with the Israelis and offer them concessions.

Having accomplished the first phase of his plan, which was the destruction and devastation of Libya to the benefit of Israel, Professor Levy turned his attention to Syria, presiding over a conference between the Libyan revolutionaries and the so-called Syrian Free Arab Army. Again, the Syrian Free Arab Army offered concessions to Israel. Not only that Professor Levy has called for the same fate to befall Algeria. And the western powers will tell you that this is nothing to do with them. I tell you otherwise.

General Wesley Clark, 5-star general of the US army, speaking in California in 2007 revealed the Bush Administration plan to destabilize the entire Middle East. For the full story please watch this:

For his honesty and daring to speak the truth, General Wesley Clark, a former Rhodes scholar has been made a laughing stock and reduced to appearing in a low profile TV reality show. As the saying goes, “no good deed goes unpunished.”

Still not convinced? Do you still think there is an Arab spring? Do you still believe that Bashar Al Assad of Syria is the main culprit in this? Listen to the words of former French Foreign Secretary, Roland Dumas who admitted in an interview that the war in Syria was planned two years before the so-called Arab Spring.
“ British officials told me that they were preparing something in Syria and did we (the French) want to participate?”

After you have read and seen all the above do you think, as Arabs and Muslims, we should do something about this? If the angelic voice and the patriotic songs of Muhammad Assaf, a boy from Gaza, has awakened some dormant emotions in us all and made us, including myself, gather around him what on earth is stopping us from rallying to the call of Jerusalem? Why do we find it so difficult to link arms with other Arab brothers and sisters to stand in the face of tyranny and unite our nation against the dominance of the archaic tribal system and the infiltration of Zionism and western colonialism?

I never thought that I would finish an article of mine by quoting the very disappointing Barak Obama, but irony rules in this instance:

“We, the People, recognize that we have responsibilities as well as rights; that our destinies are bound together; that a freedom which only asks what's in it for me, a freedom without a commitment to others, a freedom without love or charity or duty or patriotism, is unworthy of our founding ideals, and those who died in their defense.”

I rest my case.
