Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Police on Saturday found decomposed bodies of two women in Mafraq, northeastern Jordan, in a deserted stone production area.
The bodies were found in a decomposed condition whereas one of them showed evidence of gun shot wounds while the other had major parts of her body corroded and consumed by stray animals, a security source said.
The police source, who preferred his name not be published, said that the bodies are of two unidentified women, ranging in age between the thirties and forties.
A Police source added that the bodies were found by a shepherd in the area, who lead police to the two bodies in Khalideyah district in Mafraq.
Public Prosecutor Talal Khaza'leh arrived at the scene, and ordered the bodies to be transferred to the National center for Forensic Medicine for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and details of the incident.
Police launched an investigation to determine the time and details of the women's deaths, suspecting foul play in the incident.
