Ammon News - TOKYO (Petra) - The Japanese government will provide aid to Jordan to help meet the demands of hosting over one half million Syrian refugees in the Kingdom, according to Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.
Abe announced, before leaving Tokyo to participate in the G8 meetings slated to be held in Ireland on Tuesday, that the aid to Jordan will include loans of Japanese yen.
An official in the Prime Ministry stated that details of the aid package are also expected to include $10 million of non-military aid for residents of the Syrian territories that are not under Syrian government control.
