Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra)-The 5th West Asia-North Africa (WANA) Forum concluded on Tuesday in Amman with a closing speech by the Chairman of the Forum, His Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal.
During the two-day conference, participants held discussions with the aim of creating regionally inspired guiding principles that address the problems caused by forced migration for both the uprooted themselves, and for the host societies that take them in.
In his closing remarks, Prince El Hassan said: "I am grateful to everyone here for the fruitful discussions that we have had over the past two days. I ask everyone to consider how individually each one of you can contribute to making a difference for the uprooted and the countries that shelter them."
"We must work, as Special Representative of UN Secretary-General for Migration and Development, Peter Sutherland, suggests on migration development goals. I ask each one of you to help make a difference and not to forget our discussions when you leave here."
