756 Syrian refugees crossed into Jordan yesterday

Ammon News - MAFRAQ (Petra) - A total of 756 Syrian refugees crossed into Jordan yesterday, including 6 injured refugees who were transferred to hospitals in Mafraq and Ramtha for treatment.

Media Spokesman for Syrian Refugees Affairs Inmar Al Hmoud said authorities transported all the refugees to Al Zaatari camp in the Mafraq governorate, noting that the number of refugees in the camp now exceeds 160,000.

He added that 71 refugees were permitted to leave the camp after finding Jordanian guarantors, while 236 voluntarily returned to Syria.

Al Hmoud also pointed out that the number of Syrian refugees throughout the Kingdom's governorates exceeded 541,000, while the number of those who have crossed into the Kingdom in 2013 is greater than 190,000.
