Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra)-His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, in the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, attended a military exercise on Monday conducted by the central military zone.
The King was briefed at the beginning of the exercise, in the presence of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, along with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mashaal Al-Zaben, by the commander of the central military zone on the phases of the exercise, measures taken to carry it out and the importance of such exercises in contributing to improving the ability, efficiency and skills of the armed forces in using weaponry and applying field skills efficiently.
The exercise included shooting, various field applications being used by most of the armed forces branches, direct support by helicopters from the air force and a combat drill in built-up-areas, along with measures taken to evacuate casualties from battle areas.
At the end of the exercise, the king voiced his satisfaction with the distinguished level of competence shown by participants through their high skills and accuracy in hitting targets, the coordination among all participating branches dealing with various conditions of the exercise, as well as taking note of the high morale of the soldiers.
