Participants in the three-day course, under the supervision of Robert Besser of INE, discussed samples of local, Arab and international news and how to write and edit such news in order to present it to foreign readers so they can better understand the content of the news provided by Petra. Participants in the course, which ended on Monday, learned not only how to avoid literal translation when writing news stories in English, but also present such news in an attractive style with appropriate wording and content.

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - Jordan News Agency (Petra), in cooperation with International News Editing (INE), recently organized a training course on various editing and journalistic styles.

Participants in the three-day course, under the supervision of Robert Besser of INE, discussed samples of local, Arab and international news and how to write and edit such news in order to present it to foreign readers so they can better understand the content of the news provided by Petra.

Participants in the course, which ended on Monday, learned not only how to avoid literal translation when writing news stories in English, but also present such news in an attractive style with appropriate wording and content.
