Home Culture & Society Prince El Hassan sends copy of Arab Social Charter to Imam of Al Azhar 07-01-2013 12:00 AM Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, Chairman of the Arab Thought Forum (ATF), sent a letter and a copy of the Arab Social Charter to the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar University Ahmed el-Tayeb. The letter was delivered to the Al Azhar Imam by Secretary General of the ATF Al Sadiq Al Faqih who signed a cooperation agreement between the ATF and Al Azhar's Dialogue Center. Another copy of the charter was also sent to Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Elaraby. Prince El-Hassan sent a number of letters concerning the charter to Arab monarchs and presidents, official and civil Arab regional organizations, civil society organizations, universities and intellectual and research centers with the aim of achieving its goals and objectives. The importance of the charter lies in its presentation of a strategic view on how to build the future of the Arab world, outlining the general policies in all fields to achieve sustainable development, security and stability in Arab states. The charter tackles several issues, highlighting the concept of equal citizenship in Arab communities as the basis for political, cultural and social pluralism.

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, Chairman of the Arab Thought Forum (ATF), sent a letter and a copy of the Arab Social Charter to the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar University Ahmed el-Tayeb.

The letter was delivered to the Al Azhar Imam by Secretary General of the ATF Al Sadiq Al Faqih who signed a cooperation agreement between the ATF and Al Azhar's Dialogue Center.
