Ammon News - MAFRAQ (Petra) Jordan on Sunday denied it will set up a third refugee camp in the country's north to accommodate a growing number of Syrians fleeing the violence in their country.
General Coordinator for Syrian Refugee Affairs, Anmar Hmoud, told Petra that newspaper reports that the government will a third camp were completely untrue, adding that work underway in the border town of Ramtha was only for expansion of the Cyber City Compound.
The land owner, Hmoud said, had offered a plot of about 200 dunums for housing displaced Syrians throughout the crisis, adding that a new camp will be built for single young Syrians.
