Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The first anti-drug marathon kicked off on Friday with the participation of over 1,000 runners.
The marathon, organized by the Jordanian Anti-Drug Association, launched from Al Hussein Parks in Amman to the Dead Sea Lagoon resort, aimed to take measures to combat drugs in the country and spread awareness on the dangers of drugs.
The marathon includes four races, a 42 km race for professional runners, followed by a half marathon (21 kms), a 10 km race, and a children's 3 km race, Jordan News Agency Petra reported.
