Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - In line with its community programs geared towards supporting activities that promote creativity in all its forms, Umniah signed a strategic partnership agreement with newthink Theater, an initiative launched by Al-Jude for Scientific Care in 2009.

The initiative aims to spread the culture of creativity and enhance youth’s confidence in their ability to succeed by tackling key issues through an inventive theatrical approach. As part of the partnership, Umniah extended its support to newthink Theater’s activities for a full year.

The first activity Umniah supported was newthink Theater’s sixth cultural event – held at the Royal Cultural Palace in King Hussein Youth City on Monday 12th December, 2011 – as its exclusive telecom service provider. The event was attended by over 1,500 INJAZ members, school and university students and individuals interested in entrepreneurship and creativity.

We believe that newthink Theater’s activities will significantly impact the lives of community members by providing them with rich and invaluable intellectual, cultural and scientific content,” commented Ihab Hinnawi, CEO of Umniah.

In turn, newthink Theater Founder Maher Kaddoura thanked Umniah for its strategic partnership, stating that both parties share the same mission and values. He went on to explain that the partnership will ensure the sustainability of the newthink Theater initiative, and lauded Umniah’s numerous social activities that consistently leave a positive mark on the lives of Jordanian youth.

newthink Theater’s sixth cultural event featured a folklore Dabkeh dance by the Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein Club for the Deaf and Mute, followed by an uplifting speech by Ahmad Asad that discussed individuals’ inherent talents. The event also showcased keynote speakers Rabeah Nasser, who discussed “The Importance of the Story” in nurturing future generations; Lina Hindeila, who elaborated on “What Makes a Good Entrepreneur”; and Jordanian athlete Mazin Zoubi, who shared with the audience his ambition to meet the world record of driving a motorcycle on one wheel. Furthermore, Zaid Mudahhi delivered an evocative musical performance that reflected people’s varying emotional conditions, and fitness instructor Ammar Sabbagh conducted a lecture that tackled the topic of exercise and healthy eating habits. The event also included an interview with Dr. Fares Al-Nimri from Jordan Museum who shed light on the Museum’s importance in preserving the Kingdom’s heritage and history.

Moreover, the audience enjoyed a musical performance by renowned artist Aziz Maraka who performed songs as a tribute to the late Jordanian artist Tawfiq Nimri. The newthink Theater event concluded its activities with a musical performance by the Public Security Directorate’s Brass Band.
