USAID’s Assistant Administrator visits Jordan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - United States Agency for International Development Assistant Administrator Mara Rudman, visited Jordan from Dec. 18 -20 as part of a wider Middle East tour.

Ms. Rudman met with government officials and reiterated USAID’s support of the Government of Jordan’s political and economic reform efforts. She met with Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, to discuss how USAID can help the Government of Jordan address the economic and political challenges it faces in the near term.

Ms. Rudman also met with Jordanian youth, a wide range of political activists, and project experts engaged in important economic and political work in Jordan. Ms. Rudman gained a deeper understanding and appreciation of Jordan’s economic and political reform agenda and its implications for USAID’s development efforts. Throughout the visit, Ms. Rudman reiterated the United States’ commitment to helping Jordan reach its goal of economic prosperity for all citizens.
