Al-Manhal signs research syndication agreement with the Scientific Research Support Fund

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Al-Manhal, the world's first Arabic full-text searchable electronic content platform, recently signed an agreement with the Scientific Research Support Fund, of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to distribute 17 Jordanian scientific journals issued under the fund's umbrella.

The journals will serve to enrich Al-Manhal's ever-expanding database of full-text content published by the Arab world's leading research institutions and publishing houses.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Nasri J. Rabadi, General Director of the SRSF, and Mr. Mohamad Al Baghdadi, CEO of Al-Manhal. Mr. Bashir Al Nasser, Al Manhal's General Manager, together with Mr. Yazan Al Sheikh of the SRSF, were also present at the signing.

"Al-Manhal's prime objective is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and valuable ideas, which is critical for the progress of research and publishing in the Arab world," commented the company's CEO Mohamad Al Baghdadi.

Al-Manhal is a joint venture between the management of TechKnowledge, the Middle East's leading electronic library consultancy, and Wolters Kluwer (aka Ovid), a global publisher and provider of academic and professional electronic information. Al-Manhal's full-text electronic platform was created specifically to enable academics, researchers and scientists to have access to the output of the Arab world's leading research institutions and publishing houses.

The platform combines the portability and user-friendliness of PDF file formats with the search-ability and utility of the world's most intelligent electronic research platforms. The company's databases utilize key technologies specifically designed for libraries, publishers and independent researchers, including advanced search, digital rights management, social networking integration, and others, making it one of the most versatile and powerful content-sharing platforms in the world.
