Education for orphans, ongoing "Sadaqa” Al-Aman Fund Charity Campaign during Ramadan

AMMONNEWS - Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, an independent NGO founded by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, launches a new campaign called ("Education for orphans, ongoing "Sadaqa”) during the holy month of Ramadan. The campaign aims at motivating the masses to make donations, which would help supporting the education of orphans from cities and villages in all over the kingdom.

Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans offers beneficiaries educational opportunities through vocational or academic learning covering tuition fees and accommodation. Moreover the Fund offers counseling services for orphans resided in orphan care centers through continuing contact and communication with them after they leave these centers, supporting them to define their future ambitions and plans.

The campaign, ("Education for orphans, ongoing "Sadaqa”) seeks encouraging people to donate for a noble cause during the holy month of Ramadan. It was stated in Resolution No. 7/2010 that was issued by the Council of Fatwa, Research and Islamic Studies which states that "Educating those in need is considered as an ongoing sadaqa, which would benefit the nation; additionally spending Al-Zakaah is specified in the holy Quran, where it explains that Al-Zakaah can be given to poor orphans if they are Muslims and poor”.

For those who would like to donate, they are encouraged to call Donation Hotline 065330500, whereby a representative from Al-Aman fund reaches the donors wherever they are located once they call the number. The donor can also deposit or transfer the donation amount to the Fund’s account in Jordan Islamic Bank number 47022 or all commercial banks in Jordan. Additionally, there are donations’ boxes, which the Fund has placed in different venues such as major shopping centers namely, City Mall, Cozmo and Safeway as well as a large number of commercial outlets, shops, private hospitals, and banks.

Its worth mentioning that the Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah launched Al- Aman campaign in 2003, that later was institutionalized as a charity non-for-profit organization under the name Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans in 2006. The Fund’s beneficiaries reached 1357 orphans amongst which 606 have graduated and started their professional life independently.
