The Association of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education Meets With Winners

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS – In an ongoing effort to interact with its Awards’ winners, the Association of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education held on Saturday, 7th May 2011, a meeting with the 2008-2010 winners of the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Distinguished Teacher, and the 2009 winners of the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Distinguished Principal in its 1st cycle, at the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Center for Educational Technology.

The meeting covered several key topics and shared the Association’s action plan with the winners, presenting them with professional and academic development opportunities. The Association’s scholarships were also presented to and discussed with the winners of the Distinguished Teacher and Principal Awards, and a session conducted by JTV media professional Samar Gharaibeh provided training to the attendees on how to communicate with Jordanian media.

The Association further stressed during the meeting on the importance of spreading the culture of excellence, outlining the winners’ roles as the Association’s field ambassadors, providing them with feedback on their performance, and presenting them with development mechanisms to enhance their role.

“We regularly engage with our award winners to ensure that our vision and mission are being met. The Association strives to spread the culture of excellence in the education sector and the community at large by creating channels of communication with the winners of the Distinguished Teacher and Principal Awards, who will act as the Association’s ambassadors within the education field,” commented Lubna Touqan, Executive Director of the Association of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education. “We greatly value the partnerships we have formed with education organizations that aim to promote professional and academic development,” she added.
