Ammon News - The administration of the University of Jordan Hospital confirmed that it is closely monitoring the health of a resident physician who suffered an unfortunate fall on hospital grounds. He is in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical care.
The hospital administration stated on Thursday, that the head of the relevant department had noticed changes in the physician's health and disturbances approximately two weeks ago. The physician, a graduate of a British university, had joined the residency program at the University of Jordan Hospital only a few months prior. Measures were immediately taken upon observing the concerning symptoms.
The administration explained that the head of the department noticed the physician's health condition appeared abnormal about two weeks ago and, in response, immediately contacted the physician's father to inform him of the observations.
The hospital indicated that the physician's father confirmed during the communication that his son had been receiving treatment from doctors outside the hospital for some time and was taking specific medications prior to joining the residency program.
Based on this information, the hospital immediately took administrative and precautionary measures, granting him sick leave and temporarily suspending him from work.
The doctor and his family were informed that he should not return to work until he submitted an official and approved medical report from his treating physician confirming his ability to perform his duties.
The hospital explained that the doctor in question requested to return to work on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, but his request was denied pending the submission of an official and approved medical report.
Despite the suspension and precautionary measures, the doctor arrived at the hospital early Thursday morning without the knowledge of the hospital administration.
According to surveillance camera footage, the doctor jumped from one of the hospital floors.
The staff of the University Hospital wish a speedy recovery to their fellow resident physician in the specialization program and express their deepest sympathy to him and his family during this ordeal.
