Ammon News - Director of Military Media Brigadier General Mustafa Hyari said on Saturday said that Jordan’s air defenses dealt with 119 missiles and drones in recent days that were targeting vital facilities inside the Kingdom.
Hyari explained that the Royal Jordanian Air Force successfully intercepted and shot down 108 missiles and drones, while 11 missiles and drones were not intercepted.
Speaking during a press briefing in which the Jordan Armed Forces and the Public Security Directorate presented facts and figures related to the repercussions of Iran’s war on the Kingdom, Hyari said the armed forces had taken a number of measures to address the developments.
These measures included supporting units deployed along the borders, reinforcing border guard units, and activating air defense systems according to the operational ranges provided by those systems.
He added that the armed forces also activated military cooperation agreements, enhancing readiness and the ability to deal with any potential developments.
