Jordan Condemns Israeli Incitement Against Palestinian Statehood

19-11-2025 08:52 AM

Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs has condemned the racist and inflammatory remarks made by Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The ministry said the comments represent an attempt to promote baseless claims that do not affect Jordan or the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state on Palestinian national land.

Ministry spokesperson Fouad Majali said the aggressive actions and statements issued by ministers of the "extremist Israeli government" reflect its "troubled reality" and a desire to generate and escalate crises.

He added that such rhetoric has been enabled by a prevailing state of impunity resulting from Israel’s systematic violations of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and the sovereignty of states.

Majali reaffirmed that the Palestinian state will be established on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution and international legitimacy.

He stressed that the Palestinian people’s right to an independent, sovereign state is historical and legal, and cannot be diminished by valueless and legally irrelevant statements issued by Israeli ministers who deny Palestinian rights and humanity.

He added that the "futile fantasies" of Israeli extremists will not affect Jordan or undermine the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. Such statements, he said, will also not alter the international rejection of the Israeli government or the growing global support for the two-state solution.

Majali urged the international community to take a clear position condemning these statements and all forms of Israeli racist and inciteful rhetoric and actions, warning that such behavior threatens regional stability and international peace and security.
