Detained Activist Apologizes to the Jordanians and King

AMMONNEWS - The detained activist - who was detained over torching a picture of King Abdullah II - on Wednesday apologized to the Jordanian people and the Monarch, the activist's lawyer told Ammon News.


According to the lawyer the activist regretted his act and feel sorry of what he has done, and he did not meant to assault Jordanians or his Majesty.

The 18-year old Odai Abu Eisa, who is being detained in Muaqqar prison suffered beatings, abuse, and violations of human rights in Madaba (south of Jordan) police station, the lawyer added.

On Monday, the National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR)launched a commission to investigate claimed violations and assault complaints that the center received from the father of the detained activist, no details learned yet.
