AMMONNEWS - Going around in Amman these days resemble foremost visiting photo shops and wondering who are these people, yet suddenly recognizing one specific familiar photo, that of King Abdullah II.

Whether a Monarch, a Statesman, a Ruler, King Abdullah II is mainly perceived by many Jordanians as a family member loved, respected and sometimes contended with, a member who is criticized as well as praised, albeit quite vocally the last two years.

The familiarity of King Abdullah II is most felt during the ongoing parliamentary election campaigns when one cannot help but view the Monarch as yet another candidate rightly seizing the period preceding parliamentary elections as an opportune time to rebuild the confidence between himself and the people of Jordan where he stands as a member as well as a statesman. Repeated meetings with different segments of Jordanian society, formulating and presenting his visions of Jordan's future foremost pertinent Jordan's sustainable comprehensive reform path in cooperation and in coordination with his direct Hashemite family and his bigger Jordanian family, and not least his incessant efforts to consolidate Jordan's stand which best serve Jordan's national interests on local, regional and international levels stands but as an uncontested evidence.

The evolutionary rather than the revolutionary path prevalent in Jordan is not the only attribute that distinguishes Jordan's consolidating democracy. Jordan's first Statesman's endeavors to modify his own role adjusting to political reforms and promoting locally and internationally the further advanced political system in Jordan is yet another distinct aspect of Jordan's activating and strengthening democracy.

Yes, bridges are rebuilt between the Monarch of Jordan and the Jordanian people, especially during the days preceding parliamentary elections which coincided tough climate circumstances when the Monarch's concern in and apt directives towards alleviating the hardships of Jordanians wasn't complemented with candidates dedicating time and resources towards this end.

However, the sustainability of these bridges warrant restructuring the institute, the Royal Court, that is entrusted with the responsibility of and has a crucial role in delivering the Monarch's visions and concerns, not least securing open channels between the Monarch and the Jordanian family, especially the excluded intellectual elites of Jordan.
