Ammon News : The UN Security Council is holding a session, during which members will hear a briefing from the Senior Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, on the implementation of UN Resolution 2720.

Last December, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for urgent steps to immediately allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and create conditions for a ceasefire.

The Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Jorge Moreira da Silva, is set to provide a media briefing on this matter.

It is worth noting that the United Nations Office for Project Services has been tasked with activating and managing the mechanism stipulated in Resolution 2720.
