Army thwarts drug smuggling attempt, hits smugglers

The source said that 'the Border Guard forces, in coordination with the military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department, monitored an attempt by a group of smugglers to cross the border illegally from the Syrian lands to the Jordanian lands.'
'A number of the smugglers were wounded and the others fled into the Syrian depth.'
The source indicated that after intensifying searches and inspections of the area, (738) palms of hashish were found, and the seized items were transferred to the competent authorities.
