During a meeting organised by the Tourism and Heritage Committee to discuss the challenges facing the sector, Fayez stressed the importance of supporting the workers in this field, which has been hit by the pandemic.
Head of the panel Senator Nidal Qatamin said that the sector’s contributions to GDP totalled some JD4.1 billion in 2019, stressing that the impact of COVID-19 pandemic requires swift action to alleviate the challenges experienced by the sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
