Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, has received on Thursday at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, who conveyed the condolences of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Palestinian leadership over the death of the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, (PLO), Dr. Saeb Erekat.

During the meeting, President Abbas thanked His Majesty King Abdullah II for this gesture, adding the King's step embodies the 'historic, brotherly' relations between the two countries and their peoples.

Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Maliki, and head of the PA Minister of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee member Hussein al Sheikh, attended the meeting.
