AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh met in London yesterday with US Secretary of State John Kerry on the sidelines of the 'London 11' meeting on Syria to discuss bilateral ties, and the latest developments in the region, mainly the crisis in Syria and the peace process.
The two ministers highlighted the importance of the meeting, stressing that there is no alternative to a political solution to the crisis in Syria .
Judeh reiterated Jordan ’s stance under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II which calls for a political solution in Syria that guarantees the country’s security and territorial integrity.
Talks during the meeting also dealt with the peace process as well as the need to revive peace negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.
Kerry said Jordan has a major role in the peace process, adding that the US is keen to continue cooperation and consultations with the Kingdom.
