The local team That Ras, from the southern governorate of Karak, qualified to the finals of the Jordan Cup 'Al Manaseer' for the first time. Ramtha had previously won the cup over 20 years ago, in 1990 and 1991.
On its way to the finals, Ramtha managed to eliminate its rivals Wehdat and Shabab Al Urdun, whereas newcomer That Ras eliminated Faisali, the 17-time winners of the Jordan Cup, after Leg 1.
That Ras scored its first goal early on in the match, with Sharif Nawayseh scoring in the 3rd minute into the match. The winners scored their second goal in the second half, with Ramtha following them with their sole goal.
