Jordan’s January Iraqi crude oil imports reached 310,000 barrels
Official figures showed that Jordan has bought 310,000 barrels of Kirkuk crude since the beginning of January.
According to the figures reported by Alrai Newspaper the selling price of a barrel of oil reached 61.6 dollars, as a preferential price over the international price.
This preferential price was $16 less than the global average price, which ranged from $75-83 per barrel during the current month.
Jordan's import of Iraqi crude oil comes according to an agreement signed between Jordan and Iraq in 2021, at a rate of 10,000 barrels per day, transported via tanks from Kirkuk to the oil refinery in Zarqa.
