Breaking down today's infections, the ministry said about half of the new cases were recorded in Amman with 2,084 infections, followed by Irbid 1,109, Jerash 494, Mafraq 224, Zarqa 142, Karak 121, Balqaa 100, Madaba 84, Ajloun 59, Tafila 42, Aqaba 7, and Maan 3.
With regard to testing, the ministry indicated that 16,771 tests were conducted today, 26.6 percent of which were positive. The total number of tests conducted since March stood at 2,157,941 .
