AMMONNEWS - Newspaper quoted Israeli experts today about their views on the Israeli Memorandum of Jordanian understanding of Palestinian-Israeli meeting that took place yesterday for the implementation of the first phase of the project carrier of Bahrain ( Red - Dead ) .

They warned that passing the water at a distance of 180 kilometers, would lead to the spread of bacteria, and even the creation of small swamps, in addition to the possibility of calcification of the internal tube.
It showed that the Dead Sea loses annually about one billion cubic meters of water, and reduces about 1.1 meters per year. The projected channel will inject 100 million cubic meters per year, although a small and modest amount it is estimated to reduce the Dead Sea decline to about 10 centimeters.

The Minister of Water and Irrigation Hazem Nasser , said during the signing ceremony of a positive reflection of the project in securing the 100 million cubic meters of water to Jordan at a “ reasonable” cost.
Nasser said , that this amount will cover the needs of the Kingdom during the next ten years as a first stage , followed by the later stages of developments and future needs of the country.
