Ammon News - The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) has introduced the fifth edition JD5 banknote into circulation, displaying the portrait of the late King Abdullah I.

According to a CBJ statement on Wednesday, the introduction of the fifth edition JD5 banknote aligns seamlessly with the legal framework provided by the Jordanian Currency Issuance Law No. 55 of 2022, published in the Official Gazette on October 2, 2022.

A pivotal highlight of this release is the parallel circulation of both the fourth and fifth editions of the JD5 banknotes, ensuring a smooth transition for the public.
