Hundreds in Stockholm protest Israeli attacks on Palestine and Lebanon

08-11-2026 01:28 PM

Ammon News - Hundreds of people took to the streets of the Swedish capital, Stockholm, on Saturday evening to protest continued Israeli attacks on Palestinian territories and Lebanon.

The protesters gathered at Odenplan Square following a call by several civil society organizations to condemn Israeli military attacks on the Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank and Lebanon, as well as violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Participants carried banners reading, "Children are being killed in Gaza," "Schools and hospitals are being bombed," "Stop the attacks on Lebanon," and "Put an end to food shortages."

The demonstrators called on Israel to immediately halt its attacks on the Gaza Strip and urged the Swedish government to suspend arms sales to Israel.
