CliQ transactions reach JD16.64 billion since start of 2026

Ammon News - The value of electronic payment transactions through Jordan’s CliQ instant payment system reached approximately JD 2.43 billion in August 2026, marking a 3.9% increase compared with JD 2.34 billion in July, according to statistics released by the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC).

The data showed that nearly 24 million transactions were executed in August, up 3.6% from 23.17 million transactions in July. In June, the system recorded 20.96 million transactions.

Since the beginning of the year through the end of August, the total number of transactions processed via CliQ reached 162.18 million, with a combined value of JD 16.64 billion.

The number of CliQ users in Jordan rose to 2.39 million in August, an increase of 1.7% compared with the previous month. User numbers stood at 2.35 million in July and 2.31 million in June.

According to the statistics, 95.9% of users are Jordanians, totaling 2.29 million users, while 98,600 non-Jordanian users account for 4.1% of the user base.

The data also showed that men represent 60.5% of CliQ users, totaling 1.45 million users, compared with 36.6% for women, or 870,000 users. The 18–30 age group remains the largest segment, with approximately 839,000 users.

Money transfers accounted for 79.3% of all transactions in August, totaling 19.02 million transactions, while purchases represented 20.7%, or 4.97 million transactions.

The value of money transfers reached approximately JD 1.73 billion, representing 71.4% of total transaction value, while purchases totaled JD 694.7 million, accounting for 28.6%.

The report noted that the average transaction value through CliQ remained at JD 101 in August, unchanged from July and down slightly from JD 103 in June.

CliQ is an instant payment system that enables users to send and receive money instantly between participating bank accounts and electronic wallets.
