Ammon News - US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on Saturday that the U.S. military last Tuesday helped ship over 15 million barrels of oil and products out of the Strait of Hormuz — combined with pipelines, the total leaving the region is closer to 20 million barrels.

Wright wrote on X: " 7-day average of oil leaving the Strait is over 8 million barrels a day. Make no mistake, thanks to the U.S. Navy, oil is flowing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi discussed the latest developments regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in a telephone call on Friday.

The two ministers emphasized the importance of continuing discussions to reach practical understandings that support the resumption of freedom of navigation, the smooth flow of traffic, and the security and stability of the region.

They also discussed the latest regional developments and ways to create the appropriate conditions for resuming dialogue and negotiations, with the aim of bridging differences and reaching peaceful solutions to outstanding issues that take into account the interests of all parties.
