Ammon News - The North Theater hosted French-Lebanese musician Ibrahim Maalouf on the sixth night of the 40th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, marking his first performance in Jordan.

The evening was attended by former Prime Minister Omar Razzaz and featured Maalouf presenting a blend of Arabic musical influences and modern jazz.

Maalouf performed a selection of works that reflected his musical background, incorporating traditional Arabic elements into jazz arrangements. His set included adaptations of heritage songs such as "Dabke," "Aal Ain Moulaytain," and "Ya Bahriya," which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.

The performance featured a musical ensemble comprising saxophone, trumpet, electric guitar and drums. Artist Dina Bawab also joined the program, performing an operatic rendition of the classic song "Smile." Maalouf thanked the Jordanian audience for its warm reception, expressing appreciation for the opportunity to perform at the festival.
