Ammon News - The number of apartments sold in Jordan increased by 12% during June, reaching 2,990 units, compared with 2,659 units in the same month of 2025, according to a report by the Department of Lands and Survey.
The report showed that the increase covered all apartment size categories in June. Sales of apartments larger than 150 square meters rose by 20%, reaching 1,451 units, compared with 1,211 units in June 2025.
Sales of apartments ranging between 120 and 150 square meters also increased by 30% in June, reaching 867 units, compared with 665 units in the same month last year.
Meanwhile, sales of apartments smaller than 120 square meters rose by 8%, reaching 875 units, compared with 808 units in June 2025.
During the first half of 2026, the total number of apartments sold across the Kingdom reached 15,533 units, compared with 16,410 units during the same period in 2025, marking a 5% decline.
By size category, sales of apartments larger than 150 square meters declined by 1% during the first half, reaching 7,349 units compared with 7,412 units in the same period of 2025.
In contrast, sales of apartments between 120 and 150 square meters increased by 7% during the first half, reaching 4,479 units compared with 4,197 units during the same period last year.
Sales of apartments smaller than 120 square meters declined by 4% during the first half of 2026, reaching 4,681 units compared with 4,853 units in the same period of 2025.
The Council of Ministers had issued a decision on November 12, 2024, granting a 50% reduction in registration fees for residential apartments exceeding 150 square meters, in addition to a previous decision exempting apartments smaller than 150 square meters from 100% of registration fees.
Real estate transaction data showed that total property sales in Jordan during the first half of 2026 reached 62,023 properties, down 8% compared with the same period of 2025. The figure included 15,533 apartments and 46,490 plots of land.
In June, total real estate sales transactions across the Kingdom reached 11,884 properties, an increase of 12% compared with June 2025 and 13% compared with the previous month. The transactions included 2,990 apartments and 8,894 plots of land.
June property sales in Amman Governorate were distributed between 2,073 apartments and 2,718 plots of land, while the remaining governorates recorded 917 apartment sales and 6,176 land sales.
Real estate market trading volume during the first half of 2026 reached approximately JD3.042 billion, a 3% decline compared with the same period in 2025. Trading volume in June reached JD584.337 million, increasing by 7% compared with June 2025 and 23% compared with the previous month.
