Ammon News - The 18th Amman Summer Festival is scheduled to kick off next Friday, July 17, and will run through July 17.
The festival, which is is organized free by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), is held in cooperation with Zain Jordan.
In a statement issued Sunday, the GAM said the festival's evening activities, which will feature national, cultural, and family-oriented events, will be held in Al Hussein Gardens.
The statement also noted free parking service will be available in the gardens' surrounding areas and free transportation will be provided to and from the gardens' venues.
Inviting the public to attend the festival's events, the GAM said the programs feature theatrical and musical performances, folkloric shows, a dedicated children's area, and spaces for displaying heritage products, handicrafts, and traditional cuisine.
On its goals, the GAM stated the festival aims to boost tourism and provide an "additional attraction for tourists in Amman, while offering a family-friendly atmosphere for citizens and visitors to Jordan." The event also seeks to promote positive and educational messages through dramatic performances for both adults and children.
