Ammon News - Discussions on the draft law amending the Social Security Law have returned to the forefront again, after the overthrow of the Minister of Labor and Chairman of the Social Security Council, Khaled Al-Bakkar.
Prime Minister Jafar Hassan asked Al-Bakkar to submit his resignation from the government due to a conflict of interest resulting from bids awarded to the minister's son, according to what the government announced at the end of last week.
New discussions will begin with the new Director General of the Social Security Institution, Hazem Al-Rahahleh, who returned to his position 4 years after terminating his services in 2022, to discuss the challenges facing the commercial and service sector, especially after the geopolitical conditions witnessed in the region and their repercussions on the business environment.
The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) will host the meeting with Al-Rahahleh on Wednesday, July 15.
