Hikma donates $1 million in emergency medicines to Venezuelan people

05-07-2026 11:23 AM

Ammon News - As part of its support for Jordan’s relief efforts and urgent humanitarian response, Hikma Pharmaceuticals donated an emergency medicine shipment worth US$1 million to support the Venezuelan people affected by the two earthquakes that struck the country, causing extensive damage and significant loss of life.

The medical aid shipment was transported aboard two Jordanian medical and relief aircraft in coordination with the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).

The donation included a wide range of medicines, including anti-infective drugs, pain relievers, and treatments covering various therapeutic areas such as critical care, respiratory diseases, and hospital-use medications, amid a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies in Venezuela following the earthquakes.

This contribution reflects Hikma’s ongoing commitment to supporting Jordanian and international relief efforts and assisting communities affected by humanitarian crises and natural disasters around the world. It also underscores the company’s mission of providing better health, within reach, every day.
