Ammon News - The Jordanian government and the European Union announced Wednesday that the Jordan-EU Investment Conference will be held on November 19 at the Dead Sea under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, with the participation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The conference is part of the Jordan-EU Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership, launched in early 2025 and supported by a €3 billion financial and investment package for 2025-2027.

It will bring together investors, companies and financial institutions from Jordan and EU member states to highlight promising investment opportunities in the Kingdom and discuss partnerships in priority sectors, including renewable energy, clean technologies, the digital economy, industry, logistics and infrastructure.

In a joint statement issued by the Ministry of Investment and the European Commission, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation, supporting sustainable growth and expanding trade and investment partnerships between Jordan and the European Union.

The conference will also spotlight several strategic projects that reflect the depth of the Jordanian-European partnership.

Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh said the Economic Modernization Vision has provided a clear roadmap to support sustainable growth and innovation, improve the investment environment and strengthen Jordan’s position as a trusted partner and attractive destination for quality investments.

He added that the conference marks an important step in translating the Jordan-EU partnership into practical investment opportunities and projects that advance economic cooperation between the two sides.

European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Suica said Jordan is a key EU partner and an important bridge between Europe and the Middle East, adding that the conference reflects a shared commitment to turning the strategic partnership into tangible opportunities for companies, investors and citizens.

She said the conference will help attract further investment, support innovation, create jobs and strengthen economic ties and sustainable partnerships between Jordan and the European Union.
