04-06-2026 08:30 AM

Ammon News - A new humanitarian aid convoy headed to Lebanon departed on Thursday, consisting of 28 trucks as part of Jordan's ongoing relief efforts to support the Lebanese people.

The convoy, carrying food supplies, was dispatched through cooperation between the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and the World Food Programme (WFP), in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

This marks the sixth convoy in Jordan's continuous humanitarian bridge to Lebanon, bringing the total number of aid trucks sent by the Kingdom to 130, all loaded with humanitarian and relief assistance.

The continued support reflects Jordan's longstanding commitment to standing by its Arab brothers and sisters during crises and difficult humanitarian circumstances.

The convoy comes in response to growing humanitarian needs and forms part of Jordan's efforts to strengthen food security and support affected families across Lebanon by delivering essential aid directly and efficiently to beneficiaries.

The JHCO also expressed its appreciation to the Syrian authorities for their significant efforts in facilitating the passage of humanitarian convoys to Lebanon.

JHCO affirmed that the continuation of relief convoys demonstrates Jordan's commitment to maintaining its humanitarian role toward fellow Arab nations and highlights the strong coordination between national institutions and international partners to ensure aid reaches those in need quickly and effectively.
