31-05-2026 09:05 AM

Ammon News - Central Traffic Department said on Sunday that its personnel maintained an active traffic presence across the Kingdom throughout the Eid al-Adha holiday as part of a pre-prepared traffic management plan.

The department reported handling 21,656 traffic-related reports nationwide, in addition to overseeing 340 duties and events during the holiday period. It noted that no unusual traffic incidents or disruptions were recorded throughout the Eid holiday.

More than 1,254 traffic officers and 485 vehicles participated in implementing the traffic plan across Amman and other governorates, including major entry and exit points, to ensure smooth traffic flow and respond to reports and observations.

The plan was activated from the Day of Arafah and included coverage of commercial areas, shopping districts, clothing stores, confectioneries, bakeries, and sacrificial livestock markets during the first day of Eid to facilitate movement and manage traffic.

The department emphasized that traffic officers continued performing both their traffic and humanitarian duties throughout Eid al-Adha, adding that citizens' compliance with traffic regulations and road signs contributed significantly to the plan's success and the smooth flow of traffic.
