Ammon News - The foreign ministers of Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Algeria, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt and Yemen "strongly" condemned the illegal and unacceptable step taken by the so-called "Somaliland" region to open a purported "embassy" in occupied Jerusalem.
In a joint statement, the ministers said the move constitutes a "blatant" violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions and represents a direct infringement on the legal and historical status of occupied Jerusalem.
The ministers reiterated their "complete" rejection of any unilateral measures aimed at imposing an illegal reality in occupied Jerusalem or granting legitimacy to entities or arrangements that violate international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
Additionally, the FMs noted East Jerusalem has been occupied Palestinian territory since 1967, adding that any measures seeking to alter its legal and historical status quo are null and void and lack legal effect.
The ministers also stressed their "full" support for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, rejecting any unilateral actions that undermine Somalia’s territorial unity or sovereignty.
