Ammon News - Traffic Operations Department officer Captain Musab Al-Maraiyat said on Sunday that the Traffic Department has prepared an advance traffic management plan to handle traffic movement during Eid al-Adha.

Al-Maraiyat explained that 1,254 traffic officers and 485 vehicles will participate in implementing the traffic plan. They will be deployed across Amman and other governorates, as well as at entry and exit points of the provinces.

He added that the Eid al-Adha traffic plan will begin on the Day of Arafah, with traffic officers managing vehicle movement throughout the holiday period. Officers will be stationed near clothing stores, sweets shops, bakeries, and various busy locations from the morning of Arafah Day until the end of Eid al-Adha.

He further noted that on the first day of Eid, livestock markets will be covered by traffic officers and patrol vehicles to monitor the movement of citizens purchasing sacrificial animals and facilitate traffic flow to and from the sites.

During the evening hours, traffic efforts will focus heavily on commercial and entertainment areas within markets and public gathering locations.
