Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan inaugurated the Dead Sea Corniche on Saturday, marking the Kingdom's 80th Independence Day celebration.
The Dead Sea Corniche spans nearly 600 dunums as part pf several recreational and leisure projects aimed at expanding domestic tourism options and serving visitors to the Dead Sea area with high-quality facilities.
The project features a 1.2-kilometer promenade, a cycling track, family seating areas, dedicated sports and entertainment zones, children’s playgrounds, an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of around 2,500 people for artistic and cultural events, green spaces, service facilities, and parking areas accommodating more than 1,200 vehicles.
The Prime Minister also directed the completion of additional sports fields at the Dead Sea Corniche, alongside the existing facilities already built, with plans to open them to the public during the summer season.
