21-05-2026 09:57 AM

Ammon News - Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCo), in coordination and cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, and the World Food Programme (WFP), dispatched its fifth relief convoy to the Lebanese Republic.

In a statement issued Thursday, the organization said the convoy consists of 25 trucks loaded with medicines, infant formula, and food supplies. The shipment comes as part of Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support Lebanon and ease the impact of difficult humanitarian conditions.

The convoy carries essential medical and food aid aimed at supporting the healthcare sector and enhancing food security, in addition to providing for the needs of children and the most affected families, helping to alleviate growing humanitarian burdens.

JHCO Secretary-General, Hussein Shibli, said that the continued dispatch of relief convoys to Lebanon reflects Jordan’s steadfast commitment to its humanitarian mission.

Shibli added that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership and with the support of its people, will continue to stand by its Arab brothers under all circumstances, noting that these convoys represent an extension of an ongoing humanitarian role based on rapid response and organized institutional work to ensure aid reaches the areas and families most in need.

The JHCO continues to work with its partners and relevant authorities to strengthen humanitarian response efforts and expand relief interventions in line with field needs and humanitarian priorities, he indicated.

The organization also expressed appreciation for the efforts and facilitation provided by the Syrian authorities, which helped ease the passage of humanitarian convoys into Lebanon.

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization continues to implement relief and humanitarian programs in several countries through an integrated logistical system that ensures the efficient preparation, transport, and delivery of aid according to the highest standards of organization and efficiency.
