Ammon News - The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ) said on Saturday it will close the Ajloun cable car tomorrow for four days under a periodic maintenance program.
The closure is part of the approved comprehensive maintenance plan, which includes the first and second phases to maintain operational efficiency and the readiness of the facility to welcome visitors amid rising tourist traffic to Ajloun Governorate during the spring season, the group said in a statement to Petra.
The Ajloun teleferic will resume operation on Thursday after maintenance work is completed according to international standards by The Doppelmayr Garaventa Group, a world leading manufacturer of ropeways, cable cars, and ski lifts.
The JFDC follows a rigorous maintenance program in all operations for the Ajloun cable car to ensure the highest public safety standards, reinforcing the cable car as a key tourist destination in northern Jordan.
