Ammon News - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan discussed ways to strengthen economic and development cooperation with European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Suica during talks in Amman on Thursday.
The discussions focused on enhancing the strategic partnership between Jordan and the European Union, particularly in the areas of investment, economic cooperation and development, according to a government statement.
Planning and International Cooperation Minister Zeina Toukan and Investment Minister Tareq Abu Ghazaleh attended the meeting.
The two sides also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Jordan-European Investment Conference, stressing its importance in expanding opportunities for private sector cooperation and strengthening investment ties between Jordan and EU member states.
Hassan reaffirmed Jordan’s appreciation for its strategic partnership with the European Union across multiple sectors and praised the bloc’s support for development projects in the kingdom.
He highlighted the EU’s contribution to Jordan’s National Water Carrier Project, describing it as one of the country’s major strategic infrastructure initiatives.
