Ammon News - The Mexican Embassy in Amman, in partnership with the Zaha Cultural Center, marked Mexican Children’s Day on Monday by launching the "Little Mexican Board" at the center’s Ma’in branch, in a step aimed at strengthening cultural exchange between Jordan and Mexico.
The "Little Mexican Board" includes a permanent mural featuring imagery inspired by Mexican heritage, nature, and traditional craftsmanship. It is designed as an educational cultural space for children and families, offering them an opportunity to discover the richness and diversity of Mexican culture.
The initiative aims to promote awareness of Mexican culture among young visitors and to encourage values of cultural openness from an early age.
The event brought together children from Jordan and Mexico, who participated in a range of interactive cultural activities. These included screenings of short Mexican films for children, as well as the traditional piñata-breaking activity, one of Mexico’s most well-known festive traditions.
The event forms part of a series of cultural initiatives aimed at introducing Jordanian children and families to Mexican heritage while strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Petra
