29-04-2026 08:34 AM

Ammon News - Riyadh, The Saudi capital, Riyadh, will host the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition from October 1 to 10, the largest event of its kind worldwide.

Held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham, north of the capital, the exhibition will feature dozens of activities across cultural, entertainment, tourism, and environmental sectors, with the aim of preserving the heritage of falconry and hunting and passing it on to future generations.

The exhibition will be preceded by the International Falcon Breeders Auction, scheduled from August 5 to 25, with the participation of local and international falcon breeders, producers, and leading local and international production farms, as part of the 2026 calendar of the Saudi Falcons Club.

In a statement, the club said its main events for 2026 include a festival, two auctions, an exhibition, the Milwah race, and the Saudi Falcons Club Cup.

Spanning approximately 120 days, the events aim to promote national heritage, strengthen its presence locally and internationally, support the falconry sector, and develop related hobbies, while reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global leader and a key destination for falcons and falconers.

Following the International Falcon Breeders Auction, the Saudi Falcons Club Auction dedicated to locally caught migratory peregrine falcons will take place, running for two months in line with the migration season from October 1 to November 30.

The club will organize the Milwah race from October 4 to 9, 2026, where falconers will compete for financial prizes and race titles across multiple categories.

Meanwhile, the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival will be held from November 17 to 30. Recognized as the largest gathering of falcons globally, the festival previously set a new world record with the participation of 3,536 falcons in the Milwah (400-meter Da’wu) and beauty contests, competing for prizes exceeding SAR 38 million (USD 10.1 million), in addition to the King Abdulaziz Cups and the “King’s Sword” and “King’s Shalfa” titles.

The 2026 season will conclude with the Saudi Falcons Club Cup, scheduled from December 21 to 28, featuring local falconers competing in races designed to highlight the speed and skill of their falcons.

The club’s 2025 events attracted more than 800,000 visitors and saw the participation of over 5,200 falcons.
