Ammon News - Minister of Justice, Dr. Bassam Talhouni said that the Cabinet, in its session held on April 14, 2026, approved the Notary Public Fees Regulation for 2026.
Talhouni explained that the regulation stipulates reduced fees for services conducted electronically, as part of efforts to encourage citizens to utilize digital services, noting that the same fees will continue to apply for in-person notary services.
He added that the difference between the two fee structures may range between 25 and 40 percent in some cases, due to savings in operational costs associated with traditional services, such as paper and ink consumption, building usage, and energy expenses, in addition to reducing congestion and expediting procedures for citizens.
The regulation will come into effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
